John Armleder "Endless" at Museion, Bolzano |

25 November 2016 - 6 January 2017

The Museion, a well known museum for contemporary art located in the picturesque Italian town Bolzano in the midst of the Dolomite Alps, celebrates Christmas with the two-piece video projection, Endless (2016), by renowned multi-media Swiss artist John Armleder (b.1948). While the outside of the museum is illuminated with a new video showing a loop of vibrating lights and colourful fireworks, a glittering Christmas tree in front of a large painting is placed inside the building.
Attitudes towards Christmas as a universal festival have always interested Armleder, who has been known to be called an “author on Christmas”.  He is well-known also for his famous “Christmas parties”, which he organises every year at his home in Genevra, and to which guests from all over the world are invited.
Projection dates:
Museion Foyer - 25 November 2016 - 06 January 2017
Museion Media Façade - 26 November  - 23 December 2016
